Sex and suicide - fashion among teenagers
Excessive sexualization in clothing, obscene language and obstinate language aggression, early sexual onset increasingly characterize the younger generation.
At least this is the result of the Study for the implementation of PNAT (National Action Plan for Youth), carried out by ANSIT.
The Opinion Barometer data from 2000 show that the share of young people between the ages of 18-25 years, who stated that they began their sexual life at 10-14 years, is 4 times higher than that of adults, whose percentage is of 2%.
Early sexual onset is more common in rural areas. In the case of girls, it is associated with a low socio-economic level, while in boys the opposite phenomenon is observed - those from older families start their sexual life earlier. As for juvenile suicides, their weight remains constant.
In the last four years, there has been a decrease of only 1.2%. Most suicides were registered in 2003, in the age group 25-29 years - 47, 3%, compared to 35.4% (20-24 years) and 18.3% (15-19 years). The data also show that suicide is prevalent in boys, the average being 6 to 1.
